Late 1800's implement seats. If you grew up on a farm years ago you probably had one of these around. Would like to see photos of other collections.

Wow is right! That is awesome.
I have a Buckeye, didn't realize there were that many different ones. I know there are about a million Buckeye repos out there but I think they are all the same.
I also have a Moline and few more.

I had a couple that had been made into stools - that I sold at my last antique show I attended... Using axel rods and the bottoms were wheel rims! I love them! Remarkably comfortable. Really nice display you have there.

Does painting them alter their value?

One of mine was a Stoddard - can't recall the other.

Celiene..... Painting does not affect value. In most cases it enhances the value. Always looking for rusty seats to paint.
Thanks for the comment. Enjoy your day.

Can I ask how you paint the Letters to make them stand out? Do you mask them off and paint the surrounding area first/last? I want to Paint the lettering in the seat bottom on my my STODDARD Seat with (Stoddard Mfg Co, Dayton OH) separately from the rest of the seat, but I'm not sure what is the best way to do it. Love what you have done to your..
Any tips you are wiling to share?
      How can I contact you?
    13. ecbennett, 7 years ago
Hi... First I clean the seat and then spray with an oil base paint of a chosen color. I then paint the letters with an accent color. Have added almost a hundred seats since those photos were taken.
