My first foray into the art glass department. I was a bit uneasy about calling this one Vaseline glass at first because it has a large amount of green in it but it does look quite at home with my other Vaseline glass pieces.
I was told it is Victorian and from what I have seen on the net it does appear to be. As they first appear around the turn of the century it would be late Victorian.
There are many things goin g on with this piece. The green on the outside edges of the top, white swirl, a pink flower and a yellow flower.
This was a Christmas present to me, I just stopped by to get a Christmas candle but the owner made me a deal. The candle is nice too. Very cool shop located inside an old gas station up here on the mountain.
They are turning you too !
Green with envy !!
Oh my, they are so very beautiful....so much to admire!
some vaseline, some I'd call Citrine glass. The vaseline is like the one in the front with the JIP type opening...the feey are Kralik looking but where are you the States so could be Moser maybe...but just be aware its very very hard to name glass. One bit of advice, try and think local first then imported unless you have the style well documented by yourself or others...and learn to adopt a knowlegeable mentor. I have several....
I love any glass with applied flowers!

Thank you very much AnneLanders. I do know with many antiques/collectibles can not be positively IDed. Thank for the information.
And thank you very much Scottvez.
It really is a beauty Fort (and cornucopia's rarely interest me.)
As you say, a lot going on with this piece. I'm always amazed they survive!
Thank you very much racer4four. Considering it is probably over 100 it is a miracle.
