I just got this revolutionary era wooden canteen and simply love it. The patina is great, and it even has the original owners initials carved into it. Craftsmanship is remarkable. Really nice piece that I will treasure. Haven't been able to find a nicer one on the Internet.

Hi my name is Shane . I have a old wooden canteen it's looks all original and has brass medallions on both sides and also a bunch of brass tacks arranged in designs . The medallions look Spanish to me I was hoping you might be able to tell me something about it.

Your War for Indepedence era wooden canteen is fascinating and in great condition. Thanks.
