Loetz "Octopus (Federzeichnung)" Vase. 8" Tall. Circa 1887

Dealer Description: Loetz Federzeichnung Mother of Pearl Air Trap vase having a shaped bulbous rim, ovoid body and terminating with a short platform foot. The transparent and brown glass is cased with opaque glass in an air trap Federzeichnung (octopus) design and highlighted in a vermicular gold gilt enameling.

Measures approximately 7.8” tall x 4.9” diameter (widest). Carries indistinct patent number under foot, “Pat 9159”. Circa 4th quarter, nineteenth century.
