This is an advertising mirror from the Potomac Distributing Company. It measures 14" X 11" without the frame. It is signed by the artist. I do not recognize the name though. I haven't seen any other examples of this mirror. I'm assuming it is a local production.
The distributing company was located in Brentwood, Md. from the mid 70's to the 80's or so. It was owned by Jim Minning and they were very instrumental in helping Stroh's Beer gain a foothold in the Washington, DC and Maryland area stores and bars. The company was located at 3434 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD. (301) 927-3600. This is about all I've been able to uncover.
Anyone have any information about the mirror or the signature of the artist on the mirror? Seen it before? Any help will be most appreciated.
