This fine Brunswick sewing machine is all original. It is a very special piece of furniture in my home. I have sewed with it on a regular basis over the years
(2008 - 2015) and is currently in good working conditions. It has a knee peddle which operates it to sew and set in a beautiful wood cabinet.
It is a beautiful work of art.
Love the fact you can still use it when you aren't using!!... If you know what I mean?.. A very useful lovely piece of furniture....:-)
Thank you Inky. Yes, I do know what you mean. My sentiments exactly... :)
Brunswick, badged for Montgomery Wards, an Expert BT by National. Nice cabinet :)
Bernadette, any idea what year it was made?
There are no records for National :( I would say 20's to 30's.
My elderly landlord/Neighbor, 99 or 100 yrs old, gave it to me when she was being moved out of state with her daughter. I was not pregnant from my first daughter yet who was born January, 1, 1980 and was 36 years old this Jamuary. I had lived there 2 years and Mrs. Dr. Campbell said she hadn't sewn on it for many years. And she said she had had it for many years before I moved in. She said it was one of the 1st electric sewing machines, she was ahead of her time.
So I know over 40 years for ,but I'm wondering how old it truly us. I haven't seen any like it.
