    Some years back Charles Lotton made a series of limited edition (only 200 of each) slippers. Not too long ago two of them came up on ebay. At the time I hadn't discovered minis and passed on them even though I loved the decors. Lately I've been buying lots of small pieces, and when this recently came up, I grabbed it. After receiving it, I regretted not buying the other two as I find them sooo cool and they fit anywhere. This is true mini, measuring 3.75" tall x 4.75" long. It is made of gold ruby glass, with a silver thread design and ruffled crystal top. Unfortunately, it's highly reflective and difficult to photograph, but reflections and all you can still get an idea of what it looks like. As always, thanks for looking.

      Thanks so much for the nice comment and love Ken, and thank you for the love Craig!

      @Ken... Thanks for the photo comment, but I wish I knew how to light these pieces so that the reflection doesn't show.

      Thanks for the suggestion Ken, but my setup doesn't allow for an up-lighted photo. I have tried rear lighting, but not enough light goes through. It works great for clear glass but not this type. There are ways with indirect lighting using umbrellas, but it's not worth the expense.

      @Penny... LOL!

      Oh Wow Rick -- That is just SO Stunning!! The shape and the Ruby red color. Now that is a piece of ART glass!!

      Hey Rick -- Try to soften your light source -- like bounce your light off soft white color sheet ( umbrella) or something. Do not put the light source at the item.....worth a shot. I am sure there are ways to do that -- that are not too expensive that a whole professional Photo studio.....LOL. Mind you, with PICS like that -- YOU MIGHT have to open a Photo Studio !!!

      ~ Your Pictures are so stunning just the way they are !!!

      Five minutes ago I would have told you that if there is one glass form I detest more than glass handbags it is glass shoes.
      After seeing this I have pulled my head in - this is glorious Rick.

      It would have been a very stylish elf who wore this slipper :)

      Referring to a previous conversation, Rick.....were these pictures taken with gradient paper?

      Thanks so much for the wonderful comments and love Rosie, Karen, Ken, Kevin and Peggy! Thanks too for the love Swfinluv, Mike, Liventruth, Geode, Aura, Silvia, Pat, Radgeunder, Deb MFT and Ho2... I appreciate your guys support!

      @ Rosie... That's the umbrella idea I spoke about in my response to Ken. I just didn't want to spend the money for something I would only use sparingly. Now the sheet, on the other hand, gives me an idea of using it as a deffuser... worth a shot huh?

      @ Kevin... Thanks for the pix comment!

      @ Karen... I too didn't care for shoes, but after seeing Lotton's take on them, I changed my opinion. Like you, I still don't care for handbags...

      @ Peggy... Yes I use gradient paper... I find it much easier than trying to control the lighting to achieve the same look.

      Thanks for the love Ivonne and Bluebonnet, I appreciate it!

      @Rosie... Yes that's some good stuff thanks... The problem I've had is finding a way to use a sheet and drape it over so it covers the light boxes on both sides but is still far enough away to soften the lights. I don't want to spend money on stands that I'll seldom use.
