1950's Richard Toys Ride-on truck. Dairy decals long gone. Paint still presentable. Massive at over 2 feet long. Toy is based on USA Keystone Ride on trucks from the same era, although the Keystones have a standard cab over design, while this truck has a snub-nose design. I have seen Richard Toy trucks with the same cab over as Keystone as well. Odd looking old truck, but it is cool, colourful and Canadian made.
So cool, never seen one of these!! It's huge!!
Thank you pickrknows. These don't appear very often. There is a few models, one being a 7 up beverage truck. I spotted this one on a pickers page in the background on the floor. He was not a tin truck guy, so really had no idea on it. I knew what it was instantly because I have looked for these for years. Any toy that had my name on the door was a toy for me. Sort of remember that sort of thing growing up. lol. Seen many Keystones over the years, but these things can be costly, so I just held off. Going to get some repro stickers for it so my name can be proudly displayed.
I have the same truck. I can not find any information on the Richard Toys Co.( Longueille, Quebec) Google does not recognize it. Was it manufactured thru another company?
