Li'l Beaver Toys, Toronto. 1950's Power Shovel 1410. Heavy pressed steel construction. Body approx 9 inches. Overall with boom lowered approx 20 inches. Unplayed with original condition in excellent original box. Possibly only survivor in box. Unlike USA made steel, with probably hundreds of thousand made, Production numbers for Canadian toys was much less. Not sure how much less, thinking based on population, we would need 90 percent less. I have spent many hours/weeks/weeks/years trying to find solid production numbers etc, but much history is lost or was never recorded. Only a few notable essays on Canadian toy history. I have my work cut out for me trying to research anything new.
Thank you for the Loves.
That is sweet!
Thanks Tom. It is sweet.lol. Also very noisy when you crank the handle. The big tab spring clicks into each notch precisely and echos through the hollow body. I had to test it out at least once. ;)
