Here is a wooden mail tube with a screw cap that I am trying to find more information on. It measures about 5 or so inches in height and a couple inches in diameter. It has advertising on the side shown in photo and on top of the cap. The other side has an address, which interestingly says " Blanchard PO, Centre County PA. There is no street address or zip code.
I cannot find too much information or find anything like it online, so hoping someone may have info to share. If so, is there any value to it?
Photo is not the best, but can post better photos soon as I find my good camera.
Is this one of those containers for vacuum delivery systems that were once used in stores?
There is advertising on the side that says "Booth's Hyomei" and "Dry-Air". The rest of it is unreadable.
Hello! I'm delighted to see this as I have searched the internet and can't find any other wood post tubes. I have one that is different to yours, I think it's British but we have it here in Australia so it may have been sent here. It's quite different to yours as it is longer, octagonal, thinner and has 'per SAMPLE POST' in type along one side then 'from Coleman & co., Norwich, England' along another side. I can't work out how old it is or much about it. Like you, would love to know more.
