I own a dining room table made by JL Metz & Co. of Indiana, and I am trying to find out when it was made. I know Metz was founded around 1900 and continued making furniture right up through the early 70s. The table I have has the original label with an order number #6602 and it says it was shipped to Skolnick's Furniture in New Haven CT, where I assume it was sold. I believe Skolnick's was around for a good period of the early and mid-20th century also. But I have no idea when the table was made or sold despite much effort spent searching. The table has brass inlays on each corner of the table, and brass footings at the bottom of each leg. Underneath it has a model number 1505. It has a high degree of decorative craftsmanship and etchings along the side of the table and legs.

Appreciate any help on identifying what year(s) this table may have originated.

The leaf is the original color. Someone unbelievably painted the table black at some point.
