Can anybody tell me what kind of table this is? I found it at a yard sale and thought it was really cool. I just have no idea what the side slots are used for or what the hole up top on the table is for? Then there is a storage space? not sure if there was suppose to be a drawer there or not?

It is a smoking stand. The center area is for a large ashtray.

The two side slots hold smaller ashtrays on stand/ pedestal.

I would think that it had a drawer at one time.

Thank you so much Scottvez for all your information & link on the table! I really had no clue what the heck this table was used for or how old it was. I really appreciate your info and time.
