After almost 35 years in the sign industry it's hard for me not to collect items relating to the trade! Signs themselves aren't my only interest!
These are sign painter kit boxes that the individual sign painter would pack his tools of the trade(paint, brushes, gold leaf supplies, etc.) and carry from job to job. These are quite hard to find. Anybody know what the hand painted signs above and below the boxes are?

      The boxes are wonderful!

You think the signs might be about gambling?

Nicefice, VERY cool! It's a dying art form just like neon tube benders. If you are ever in the Cincinnati area I HIGHLY recommend a visit to The American Sign Museum. Fairly recently they had a bunch of Letterheads(collection of hand painters) come in and do a Main St. theme with faux storefronts. It's incredible!
