This is what I would call one of my first antique juwels. It's a "classical"Victorian silver necklace with silver locket with golden text. . No hallmarks (as usual in that period) but tested for silver with gold.
It's always wearable and beautyful. Amongst a few others this juwel give me my love for starting to collect antique juwelry. I found one hallmark on the necklace which I cannot decote. But I tested both, necklace and photo locket as Sterling Silver.
Because I found a same sort necklace and locket on page 137 of the book:
Starting to collect antique jewellery by John Benjamin and I like to advise this book on starting collectors, I relist this jewelry.
Lovely collection. Some really stunning pieces
vanessaT thanks for your very nice compliment and loving!
The mark on necklace is British lion passant for sterling.
