These photos depict one of the early large models from Jonathan and Arlene Bailey's collection, circa 1974. The addition of glass, rubber, and lighting are kept to a minimum. The early glass case, to be seen in later photos, was made by Jonathan and is trimmed in copper. The base appears to be made from oak. This model, not including the case, measures approximately thirteen inches long, ten inches tall, and seven inches wide. The metal panels and accents are formed by hand, cast, or turned using a lathe. There engravings added by hand. The model uses rubber tire treads. The windows and lighting is cut by hand. The driver’s seat is inscribed to resemble leather. The gage openings are covered, and the steering wheel is connected to the front wheels by pinned linkage.
