Can anyone give me any info on this? Is it a big boy statue? Any help would be appreciated. Amazing shape for age. 75" x 48"...made out of fiberglass. The paint is stunning and never been touched.

This would be a Frisk Tire Boy. He would have a tire in right arm and candle in left. This may have been painted as he origionally would have white pajamas.

Is this an item you own?

Thank you very much. It's an item I want to buy. Not sure on value tho

Wow, is it possible to remove that paint and restore to the original white pajamas?
    4. jerzyjr, 9 years ago
I sure as heck will try. Anyone know the value in that condition?

Did you click on the link Edisonfan posted? These Fisk Tire Boys apparently are very rare -- seems to me he could be restored to his original beauty, probably be best to consult with an expert before you do anything to him. Good Luck!

He is repainted and these lose value because of it . If price is right worth it but will always be a repaint even if you do it . His face is also repainted . Very cool piece .

Manikin and MyFavoriteTreasures is right....depends on price they're offering. To bring it back you would need to add all the other elements as well.

      Sorry about the double post.....

It's called the Fisk Tire company instead of Frisk tire.

      Mispelled Fisk twice even!

Very nice. I know of one for sale in an antique store that is apparently all original. With tire and candle.
    11. Edisonfan Edisonfan, 9 years ago
      What are they asking iggy?

Did you see what Antiques Road Show appraised him at???????? (In the original condition, of course! But with a replacement tire...) And this is the older version before they changed him too having a smile, instead of yawning. BUY IT - and pray he can be restored!
    13. Celiene Celiene, 9 years ago
From AR: "Now in the 1930s, they changed him to a smile. So this dates pre-1930. More than likely, 1920 to 1924. Now, it's hard to tell how many were really made. I've heard estimates of around 300. "

This one here does he have his candle stick I wonder?
    14. jerzyjr, 9 years ago
No candlestick and he wants $7000 for it as is

Edisonfan, I will find out the next time I go there. It's out by my girlfriends cottage, and we go there about once a month.

Edisonfan and whoever else is interested. Just got back from the cottage.
Went to the antique store where they have one of these. But I was a little wrong. It doesn't have the candle and after closer inspection(it is up on top of a 9 ft display case, the tires do not seem original. He is all white also. They are asking 450$$
