This was also in the basket of rubbish at the thrift shop. I'm still trying to figure out the maker mark:
BdD+ Possibly Buch + Diechmann out of Copenhagen.
No space between the small d and big D. Very difficult to get a clear photo of the marks.
Not exactly a "pin" but where else to list it...
Thanks for any help.
.835 silver is common in Germany.
Looks like a tie clip to me.
It's a tie clip or tie bar. This is a great resource for marks: (For costume jewelry, anyway!) What is the mark - I can't see it.

Celiene - it's not costume jewelry, it's silver. I have alot of silver, some .925 sterling (ZI)and some .835 (ZII). The mark is very hard to read, so I will see if I can take better photos.
Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New year !! All the best !!
Caperkid - I had another look and I think it's made by Buch + Deichmann, which is out of Copenhagen.
Hi - I realized that it wasn't costume, but I posted the reference anyway, since it's a good one to bookmark for costume jewelry!
Looks like you got you answer from Efesgirl. Merry Christmas!
