Measurements: 5 3/8 high, 3 5/8 wide at top, 3" bottom.
I collect antique Vaseline & uranium glass. When I inquired about a custard piece that fluoresced, the seller said he had two blue opalescent "like custard" hand-painted goblets he purchased in France years ago. I haven't yet paid for them, but have them in my possession.
The hand painting on them is, as my husband says, "so ugly, they're pretty," and I agree. They're different from anything I've ever seen. No pontil on the bottom. I saw a similar piece for sale that described it as being molded in 3 separate pieces from top down; then connected. That made sense, as there's no seam. I would love to know if anyone has any information regarding antique or reproduction blue uranium glass (they're hefty!) goblets. French or otherwise. Hand painted or not. Thanks!
Ellen
Those are really nice. Not sure if this will help. Best of luck and Merry Christmas.
