This is from the Ballet Russe' 1916 tour. A neighbor found this Souvenir / Brochure in the trash and sold it to me for $25 several years ago. i posted them on here and then lost them for the next few years and just found them today buried in my warehouse. i've been wanting to frame it in one of these very deep, walnut frames for years now. i'm very happy i found them and am now able to frame them. This one has a beautiful orange dancer on the flip side.
i purchased this on ebay last week. you can find really good frames and get them cheaper - by searching for mirrors. this is one i got like that this past week. i love this bakst design! this was painted / drawn in 1914. this kind of pose/portraiture was unknown at that time. Leon Bakst was really brilliant!
