around my new place. the first shows these traditional Mexican christmas trees - little chalkware statues of nopales with birds and fruit on them. the next photo has this cool, miniature mirror - i think around 150 yrs old, and the two blue/green vases gave me a doubletake at the junkstore. i thought for sure they were Awaji from a distance, but then i realized they are very old pieces of Oaxaca dripware.
the nopalitos are a perfect melding of european and native american traditions from mexico!
