A nice 1924 Australian penny.
A very large cent indeed!
I have nothing more to say, yet the site won't let me post till I say more. So here's what I gotta say, and it's nothing at all. LOL.

LOL, whoops.
I had no idea a 1930 Australian penny was worth that much.
My mom always loved Australia and also likes coins, so I got this for her for $5, Lulu.
I never did much research on the coin, so thanks for the link, Vetraio.
You're welcome ... Greetings from Oz !!!
Thank you. :)
My parent wanted to move us out there. I insisted we stay in Michigan. Sorry. :P
But, greetings from Michigan!
That AUD was a guess, might even be more! otherwise a penny won't buy much in Melbourne, in fact I don't even think 3/4 the population have even seen a penny or half penny although some are attached to neck chains or bracelets. When a penny is minted it is a lovely copper colour. When it has been used and handled it becomes very brown. We used to put tomato sauce on them overnight and that would make them look new again. :)
