I got this stove from a friend who took pity on me because I was spending a stupid amount of money on propane to heat my house. It was in an old Victorian House he moved into and his wife hated the way it looked so he got a more modern stove and gave this one to me. When I brought it home my wife cried because she didn't want such a "huge ugly box" on the fireplace mantle in our living room.
This stove, as inefficient as it was, saved me at least $2000 for every winter I burned it. It just got crazy trying to keep up with this hungry monster, so after 4 years of breaking my back cutting down trees and hand splitting wood, we decided to get a more efficient stove so I don't have to cut and split as much wood for the winter.
I can't find a single thing about this stove anywhere online. There isn't even much about the company that made it. If anyone recognizes it and knows anything about the stove or the company, post a comment or e-mail me.
    Thanks!

Hereis a 1935-36 catalog. This is similar to the 'Westwood' Wood Circulator on page 35. They talk about the Auto line for Auto dealers? I guess they used to sell heaters at auto dealers, too. The also made heaters for Cabooses on trains. Yours is weird because it has no feet. And you say it fit on a mantle? I also found an invoice from 1933. SO they look to be in business in the 30s at least.

      Celiene,
OOPs! I did say mantle didn't I. I meant the brick of course, the thing is huge!
I did see that catalog, but didn't think anyone fit what I have, though now that you mention it, the one on pg 35 is the closest. Interesting that it could have been made for a train or something else. Would love to know where it's been all these years.
Thanks for taking the time to reply
