I found this set about six months ago at a Salvation Army store. I don't know a lot about glass, it isn't something I collect. When I saw it I did recognize it as depression glass Art Deco style so picked it up. My interests are more in the lines of oak furniture, advertising signs and trunks. However, I will pick up items that I think are interesting. What attracted me to these are the lines and color.
Today I did some research on this set and determined it is a hard to find pattern and color from Indiana Glass, bonus it is worth a lot more than I paid for it. Now I'm nervous the cat will knock it over.
I wanted to share pictures for the glass collectors in the CW community to show that great finds are still out there. I was lucky to find this, collecting is all about being in the right place at the right time.
looks great!!! the Pyramid pattern has a great art deco appeal!
Beautiful! I would have grabbed it, too.
very very beautiful!!!
TallCakes the Art Deco look is what made me buy this. Efesgirl and Sean68 agree it is a beautiful set, it is the design that is eye catching.
Thanks for the love.
