Posted one of my Lincoln Toy trucks on a facebook toy page and got a message of appreciation for the toy. After a couple of messages back and forth about Lincoln toys history and Canadian toys he sent me a picture.
The Town of Tilbury, in South Western Ontario, not to far from Windsor is where Lincoln Toys set up shop and made the great toys I collect.
Just another town I thought, but turns out they are proud of their little toy company and had a mural painted by local artist Richard Blain to celebrate the Ellwood Family's line of great pressed steel toys. Mural is now my computer wallpaper screen until I get down to Tilbury and see it in person. Love the artists depiction of many of the great tin trucks.
Think I may have a kid in Windsor !
Thank you Nicefice and blunderbuss2. Now if I can get Orillia to paint a big mural of Otaco Minnitoys to celebrate some history here.
Thanks for the loves.
