A nice first edition (1925) from the Western author I collect, and who got me into Westerns: Zane Grey.
Some of his books are pretty bad, but others can be quite good. His descriptions of landscapes are just immaculate, and I emulate that when doing my own writing.
No valid reason can ever justify the slaughter of the herds of buffalo, except to starve the Indians to death. Once again, genocide !
Well, I like indians, so... no justifiable reason can be found.
Well, looking back, there was to a small extent:
History says this:
Buffalo herds made trains late. Their meat was edible. Their coats were wearable. The animals were not tamable, so idiot humans could get hurt.
So, economically, we could. Morally, not really as we're meant to be stewards of the land.
I'm afraid that I know of none of it. LOL. But thanks for commenting.
Not too far from here is a corporation known as Brunswick.
They used to. Not sure this one puts the product out anymore.
My name's background is a secret. ;)
I'm a product of 1996, so... records are a bit obscure to me. LOL.
Happy New Year.
