Good to see you again. Still on the Forum?
Yes I still am there. Personally, I have not had any probs with it...........yet.
Good to hear.
Bottle show. Grand Rapids Mi. on Feb 27 Sat. Hope you can make it. Not me though. A little to far for me. 3 hr drive.
Thanks for the head's up, but I'm one who was asked to pass out fliers for it. ;)
It's at our bottle club here.
I recall what I first saw when I walked in last show: Tables of historical flasks. I could have died at the number just laying out for sale.
Very cool! I hope to make the Flint Mi. show on march 20th. That's only about an hour from me. I better start saving some $$ now. LOL
Good luck. :P
My first cable channels were from Michigan. The Pistons were champs the Palace in Auburn Hills was new. Probert and Yzerman were rookies. Cobo Hall was advertised for shows quite often. Im a huge Red Wings Fan.Michiganoutdoors on sudays was a ffavorite also. Great memories.
Thanx Nicefice & everybody else.
Great bottle….I collect pop and beer bottles with ACLs, too!
Thank you Brunswick my friend!
I too have the green quart bottle. Any idea on the value? Also, where was the original bottling plant located in Saginaw?
Catmando, thanx. I know I paid less than 30$ for mine. A few years back I tried contacting someone at the Saginaw library and they sent me this info on the company.
Your question about the Chapman Beverage Co. was forwarded to me. I work in the Local History and Genealogy Dept. at the Hoyt Library in downtown Saginaw. I found some information, but not much. Chapman Beverage Co. first appears in the Saginaw Directories in 1955 at 2975 Bay Rd. Up until that time , the directories did not include areas outside of the city. I gleaned some information from the obituaries of former owners. This is from the obit of John Q. Adams:
In 1939 he purchased a partnership in the Chapman Beverage Co., and in 1942 with his son, Wiliford E. Adams, became the owners of the company.
John Q. Adams died in 1960. His son, Wilford, took over the business till he retired in 1971. Chapman's appears to go out of business in 1978.
Also thanx ttomtucker!
