Bought this phone at a flea market. It is a toy and you wind it up and push the white button on the front and it rings. The rotary wheel turns and makes a bell noise. It feels like a hard plastic with the ear piece and voice piece is rubber.

What is written on the dial, in the circle around the bell? Not clear in the photo.

It says "Bell System" in the Bell and around the Bell "American Telephone and Telegraph Co. and Associated Companies". There is a "M" outside the bell. This is a toy which was only used for make believe. I don't know if the "M" stands for model or what. Under the dial is a place for a telephone number. The white button beside that is what you press after you wind it up to get it to ring. The bottom of the phone is metal without any writing.

I did an image search and also a regular Google search and didn't find a thing. It's a really cute little phone. I would say it dates from the 1960s.

It looks like the 1940 F-1 model of phone.

Yeah - that's a rare one! I've been searching every thing I can think of - no luck! I wonder if it was a giveaway from AT&T?
