This machine has been in my wife's family for quite Some time. Supposedly it was in the lobby of a up scale hotel in the Quad cities. When they became illegal to own, my wife's uncle purchased it and put it in storage where it has been rarely used. My father in law, acquired it when the uncle died, is down sizing and is giving me the machine with the understanding that I will have it restored so it can be passed on. I'm looking for any information as to year it was manufactured, what the knob on the lower front does, and if there is a way to trip the lever to empty out the coin storage in the front. Any thing would be appreciated.

To empty jackpots: Remove back door. Raise L latches on the lower corners of mechanism. Remove panel behind coin head, usually has a wing nut. Raise mechanism slightly and slide rearward to remove mechanism from case. This will show jackpot bins, look for small levers to trip and open trap doors to dump coins. The knob on lower right is to drop roll of mints each time machine is played. The two glass panels on the front hold columns of mints. Be careful not to damage the small locks on the front doors. They are hard to find and EXPENSIVE to replace ! It's best not to refinish the case. Original finish means more to its value.
