Gold Thimble Whiskey Bottle

I was given this bottle by an old friend in 1960.
She had received it as a present when her family owned a hotel in Newcastle NSW.
It is a Tennis player dressed in cream, wit a red tie.
Marked on the upper back as Gold Thimble Whiskey.
Is is crazed china with a few chips from being moved around over the years.
I would expect that it is over 100 yrs old.
