Manhattan Brewing Co. of Chicago, Illinois. Al Capone would later hold stock in it. This is an unlisted variation. There is a very similar version-- easy to make a mistake between the two-- but this was made using a private mold, unlike the slug plate (proper name is 'plate mold') of its close cousin. Also, albeit I do not know about the other bottle, this one was made by N. B. B. G. Co., which is North Baltimore Bottle and Glass Company if memory serves me correct.
You are only 19 ?!! You certainly learn & retain ! You are truly impressing me & I look forward to the information you share with you're posts. We will miss you when you grow out of league.
Thank you. :)
Yep. Just 19. My memory was actually pretty bad till the middle of High School. I suddenly began remembering most things, and old memories from random things years ago came into mind. It shocks people at times, and I'm on a number of chat-sites in which people often don't believe my age. But God blessed me greatly with my capacity to learn.
I don't typically stick around sites long. I recently left 2 forums. But this site is very diverse and more friendly than either forum. I like it.
This bottle is no longer in my collection. It went to a prominent collector and friend.
