well first of all happy new year to you all on cw -- this item i purchased on ebay just because of the unique locking feature -- weighed 83 gram of .925 and i paid 81 for it -- total dirty mess but it is all clean now -- thanks for looking all is fine here in vancouver wa just cold windy and WET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BEAUTIFUL!!! Love the detailing~
Not sure it's Mexican. It's a dragon, and those are dragon scale links. The head is holding the sphere of wisdom, I believe, which is the locking mechanism. Look up Miao Zu articulated Dragon/Ouroboros Bracelet. Many come from Tibet. It's a beauty - and the lock is really unusual!

Miao are also known as the Hmong people. The swirls are sometimes called Dragon's breath. Cool piece!
You got a DEAL!!! What an amazing bracelet.
thanks moonstone -- long time in no hearing from you and i miss all of the cw people so much

it is mexican and you will see the markings when you do the search on ebay
Thanks - I had a look. Is that "ASAHS" under "MEXICO"? Interesting! You got it for not much more than the scrap price.
It's gorgeous.
no it is .925 and yes i checked the scrap price -- i was not interested in the price of silver i was interested in the lock -- as you can see on my postings i will make and do anything just to challenge myself -- this is a half doll that i made

thanks for your input wishing you happy new year in health, happiness and all the best in the coming years
Hi again - I took a photo of the photo with the marks, enlarged it and had another look. I definitely see last three marks as being "AHS". That would be: AHS as in HECHO EN GUAD. MEXICO.

Your doll is beautiful!
thanks efesgirl -- i took another look this morning -- all i am seeing is silver and mexico -- glad you like the half doll -- have a lot of fun making the dress and her outfit
I hate to belabor the point, but it is a modified bracelet from China. Marks can be easily added to items. I saw these at a Renaissance fair a couple years ago. The person YOU bought it from may not have known either!

stunning and happy new year Epson!!
I guess the final outcome will be known when you finally have the bracelet in your hands. Either way, it's beautiful.
