    Part of a lot I purchased yesterday. Lovely German open handle cake plate. Germany 238 in red on back. Would like to know date this piece was made and it's pattern name if possible.

      No it is a regular plate

      The factory name isn't on the plate, only the country of origin and mold/design number. Red lettering usually means the plate was made for export. Germany is bicycling distance from my house, and I see quite alot of this sort of porcelain. Could have been made by any one of a number of factories in Germany. I don't think it's possible to find out any more.
