I really like purple and green, so when I found this brooch in green, I was rather happy. It seems to be identical in construction to the blue brooch I found some time ago.
I would date the brooches to around the 1960's but there are no marks to help me find out more.

We have basically the same thing except with light and dark blue stones, and also unmarked. It belonged to my mother in law who was a school teacher. She got it as a Christmas gift from a student during the early 60's.
SEAN68, thanks for your comment. The green is is really nice. The colors are much brighter than on the blue one. I think the blue one might have gotten wet at some time and that took some of the shine away:(
