Following with the previous post I am showing this old rosary. The detail of the crucifix is exquisite perhaps made of silver or silver plated. The medal has the Holly Heart on one side and Sancta Teresia a Jesu Infante. It seems from about 1950. I appreciate any information about it.
Beautiful rosary!!! We have a few old rosaries, but none like this.
Thanks jscotto

What is the purpose of a Rosary?

Wow, that takes a lot longer than I pray daily. LOL.
But it's not length or content that matters, but how much you mean what you say-- speak it with feeling. I'm afraid that that a Rosary looks to fall under a standard prayer, which is in danger of losing its depth of intensity and meaning when the words are committed to memory, and not flooding out of the Soul.
Thanks for the link.
The front of the center medal is called The Sacred Heart of Jesus, not the Holy Heart (Holly Heart).
I agree with you spirit. Thanks for the corrections Celiene
