This vase is not labelled or marked and I don't know who made it, but I am leaning towards Iwata Toshichi as the maker.

It has age and is made from a lovely green glass that has been bubbled.
The resulting pulegoso glass has become almost a jade colour.
The vase has been moulded to form a large chevron pattern around it, and post moulding it has been hot worked to make the handkerchief rim.

The base has a noticeable pontil mark but it has been partially ground back.

    Why do I think Iwata?
Toshi Iwata loved pulegoso glass and used it more than anyone else.
He was also inventive when it came to mould making and this chevron moulding is quite different to anything I have seen.
He also loved hot work, and often his works were minimally finished off.
Not a conclusive attribution, just a start.

Lovely vase Karen! It has three elements that I love... the color, the great form and the wonderful Pulegoso!

Thanks Rick. It is an interesting one. In fact when I got it I was a bit blah, but it's grown on me!
