I would really appreciate anyone that can shed any light on this item. I am not sure what country it is from as well. What it may be worth and how collectable it may be? I know there are different markings and variations that can have an impact on its collectability which I am not aware of.

I have collected a bunch of coins over the years and would like some feedback on them. It is much more gold in color and the picture shows it as having a much lighter shade.

It would be greatly appreciated and any feedback I would be very thankful for. Have a great day my friends and thank you so much for any help in advance! : )

This is called a British Gold Sovereign. It contains almost 1/4 ounce of pure gold. Again my post of the group of foreign gold coins will tell you the exact weight and from there you can determine the value. King Edward the 7th is pictured on the obverse (heads) and the image of King George slaying the dragon is the image on the reverse. (tails side). It was minted in London in 1907. From the appearance, it may be a very fine 30 condition on the grade scale of 1-70. A very nice piece of older English gold that was not only the workhorse of the British economy but the world economy as well. These gold coins circulated "world wide" for over 150 years. Very similar in size and actual gold content of the U.S. $5 gold coins. from the same period. Hang onto it. They did make a half sovereign which is exactly half the size and half the gold content as the full sovereign. The full sovereign is about the size of a U.S. 5 cent piece and the 1/2 Sov being half that size.
