I picked up this book today and it appears to tell a story about children of color on some type of adventure. I'm not sure since I don't speak German. Can anyone please help me?!?!

Die Höhle der fliegender Teufel by Götz Rudolf Richter.
Götz Rudolf Richter began in the late 1940s with writing short stories that first appeared in East German/GDR magazines. Later wrote novels and short stories in the adventure story genre. His books, which were meant as a socialist alternative to the works of "imperialist" authors like Karl May, and were primarily intended for children and young people. They often dealt with seafaring and African themes. The best known of Richter's work was his "Savvy" trilogy ( consisting of the volumes 'Savvy, der Reis-Shopper', 'Die Höhle der fliegenden Teufel' & 'Trommeln der Freiheit', Savvy - the rice shoppers , The Cave of flying devils and Drums of Freedom ) that looked at the development of a West African country, colonial exploitation and armed uprising against colonial power.
