    Hello,

This clock is going to be passed down to me and I would love to know what model ext it is. My great great Grandfather bought it on his way to settle in NZ's South Island.

Any information anyone could offer would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks a lot

Beautiful heirloom. Thanks for sharing RevClaye and welcome to Collectors Weekly. This is from New Haven's model line called the "Mersey Line" from circa 1907. They listed at that time for around $5.00. There are three different models, all similar but still very distinctive. Your family's clock is model "C". I would say this is along the lines of a "Gingerbread" clock with some very prominent carvings. They were offered in Oak or Walnut. From the color and grain pattern in your photo, yours looks like the less common Walnut Case to me but I could be wrong.

Hope that solves your mystery. If so, please indicate "Mystery Solved" in your listing. If you have more questions, ask away. There are many collectors here who might be able to help you further.

Thanks again for sharing with us.

      Wonderful, thank you very much.
I have always wanted to know more about the clock. It is now in Australia, so has traveled three countries in its time and has always been in the family.

When it is passed down I will get it restored. I'll probably pay more than it is worth to get it done but I really love the little thing.
