I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can help me identify this cast iron door stop wedge which I have been trying to identify for quite a while. I believe it is old but have not been able to locate any information whatsoever anywhere on the internet. It is approximately six inches wide by six inches high and is fairly rusty in spots on the back. It is signed or marked on the back but the letters or printing are too worn to decipher. Thank you. i don't know the answer to your question, but they remind me of the 'storybook style' which was a signature form of architecture here in oakland, california.
Hi, ho2cultcha! Thank you for your comment. I have taken the time to research this old door stop with the adjective "storybook style" and I did come across a fair number of old cast iron door stops which are similar in look to the one I have. I also saw quite a few beautiful homes that look like storybook homes and they must be what you are referring to - very pretty and "sweet" places - really just like out of a storybook. (In Images) So even if you don't know the answer to my question it did help somewhat! Marilyn
i'm glad. thank you.
