These two pair of earrings are very light weight and delicate and I believe they are made of celluloid. They are in good condition. Each pair ways only about 10 grams. I post these for Newtimes. Hope you like them. Might they be from the 1940's/50's ?

      Oh those are stunning!
Yes, could be celluloid. My experience with galalith learns me it is very similar to bakelite: same look, weight and feel...only no smell and it sounds differently

Thankyou nutsabotas and Newtimes for nice and valuable coments. Vintage plastics are confusing, there seames to be quite a lot of advice on line and some are contradicting. I'm sure you from experience know what to look for. I would take a course in plastics if I could find one. I have red a book on plastics but it wasn't about jewelry but on vintage plastics in general and some types were not mentioned. It would be good to hold, feel and compare together with someone experienced in plastic, but I guess that's too much to which for lol.

Lovely pairs! I think Valentino said these celluloid pieces were made in Japan, let's wait for her visit :-)
