This is a beautiful piece that I picked up. It measures roughly 12 inches tall, 20 inches wide, and 8 inches deep. I am unfamiliar with antique clocks but this piece really spoke to me. It has a 8 day wind. Beautiful tone every hour and a small chime ever 30 min. It still works great. It is made of wood and brass fittings. Painted to look like marble. I have been told it is probably from roughly 1860 but I do not have a manufacturer or exact date or any information for that matter. I took a gamble and purchased it for $100.00 and am now looking for any information I can find. Definitely keeping this one no matter what! Thank you so much for any information in advance.

      Hi Whitewalker,

Your clock has an Ingraham Clock Company Movement and Dial. It closely resembles their "Empress" model but it is not an exact match so that is not its model name. Here's an example: http://www.antiquesnavigator.com/d-1933021/e-ingraham-antique-mantel-clock.html

It probably is more like circa 1900. Perhaps as early as 1890's at the earliest. The Empress was circa 1911.

The Hour and Minute hands are replacements which don't match the original shape or color.

Hope that helps a little. Sorry I couldn't be a little more specific. Perhaps another collector has seen this model before.

      Thanks for sharing it.

      Hello
It does look like you have an Ingraham clock. Usually the name will be printed on the dial face. The other way to tell the maker and the year ( if you're comfortable) is to remove the hands and face plate. The name and year will be stamped on the movement. Your best bet would be to have the clock serviced by a professional. They will clean and repair any wear and or damage and then they can tell you the info on the clock.
Congrats on your purchase! It looks beautiful!
