I just got these pocket knives from my grandpa, the Carlsberg henckels knife was interesting. I looked it up online and didn't seem to find a price or anyone that had one. The Swiss Army knife was just cool to me. Maybe it was a collaboration with Marlboro. If you know any more info on the Carlsberg please tell me, thanks
CARLSBERG is a Danish brewing company that was founded in Copenhagen in 1847, and the HENCKELS Knife Company was founded in Solingen, Germany in 1731.
What you have here is a promotional advertisement give-away knife. Actually, both knives are promo give-aways. What many companies do, to boost sales, is put their company's logo on some sort of small, mid-priced merchandise and give them away as complimentary gifts to their buying customers. I don't have any statistics to back me up, but I'm guessing that more men than women drink and smoke, and most men like knives (another assumption), so it makes sense for breweries and tobacco companies to give away promo knives as complimentary gifts. Hell, I don't drink or smoke, but I'd buy a couple of cases of beer and smokes to get one of these promo knives!!!
I hope that helps. Anyone else out there like to weigh in?
We're not supposed to use this site for appraising stuff, but you can go onto EBAY and see what the same or similar types of knives are going for. Good luck.
