I bought this set in an antique shop in Shanghai about 15 years ago and I would like to know what they are, how old they are and what they were used for? The box is 30cm tall and each stamp is about 8cm tall.

Can you identify the gender of the top left and bottom center figures? If they are female I can suggest a route for further investigation.

Hi Wexval, the bottom centre could possibly be female but the top left appears to be male. Do you have any idea what they are?

      Hi! Welcome on CW :-)
What you have here is a collection of old chinese calligraphy ink cakes, feathuring the 8 immortals!

Hi Kyratango, thanks for your message. Part of the mystery is solved. Would you have any idea how old they are?

No, they are not 8 immortals. They depict meritious officials. ALL of them would be male.
