So here goes my first show and tell. I have always wanted a child size doll as long as I could remember. I grew up in the 70's so I had no knowledge of Patty Play pal or Princess Peggy. I just thought those big cheap plastic dolls looked like fun. Well over 40 years later I finely got my big doll. But she is so much prettier than those 70's dolls. And with each step of cleaning her up, I fall even deeper in love with her.
She 35" tall, auburn hair, blue eyes and marked Horsman 1959 on her neck. I found her in the basement of a home during an estate sale. She was bought with the 2 other dolls with her in picture 2. (On her right is a 1958 20" American Character Toni Ballerina sub-teen fashion doll and to the left is 1954 29" Effanbee stuffed rubber/fairy skin Candy Ann. I think I paid $25 for Toni Ballerina, and $10 a piece for Princess Peggy and Candy Ann. I felt bad carrying Peggy to the car because it was cold, raining and she was naked. Lol! All three dolls have added nicely to a small collection I recently inherited from my Grandmother.
Thanks for letting me share!
