African face mask ivory necklace

I found this funny looking African face mask bead some months ago. Its ivory, probably dating from the fourties or fifties, telling by the carving (not super quality, as inthe older days, but still a nice piece of work). I payed 1,5€ for it at a thrift shop.
I happened to stumble upon this nice ivory necklace in a thriftshop his week. It was also 1,5€. The beads of the necklace are made the African way: unevenly cut, with big differences in bead form and size. This is the way African people made beads for themselfs...the tourist beads where far more evenly cut. The cotton wire of the necklace was almost gone, so I redid them, just adding the mask to them, as my daughter thought that would make a nice necklace. There is just a simple knot, no closure, just as it was, African style! You can simply put the necklace over your head.
May redo it one day because I m not perfectly happy about the knot, but I think the mask suits fine with the beads. Dont you think? Some color difference, but thats not too bad. Ivory is a natural product so it changes color over time.
No fan of killing innocent elephants...but these ones happened to be death for some decades so I dont feel guilty buying old ivory.
