MyFavorite…
(39 items)
This was tucked away in my jewelry drawer, I actually was surprised to find it because I completely forgot I had it -- was a family member's, given to me years ago. I can't find a signature or maker's mark, and I don't know anything about costume jewelry. Sorry for the poor quality of the photos, only have my phone to work with -- the colors are pale green (mint, pastel), with topaz-looking (light brown) side "stones". Hoping someone on here can give me a direction to go in, with regards to researching it. Thanks in advance, have a great day.
Beautiful it reminds me of "Sherman" jewelry .
Manikin, that's what I thought also but isn't all Sherman jewelry marked? Thank you for loving, and Aura, thank you also!
I understand some pieces were not signed when in a set ? So ? maybe but I do love it and it is high quality .
Manikin, thanks again; I will start my research with Sherman and work from there; thank you so much for taking the time to have a look and comment! Hope your day is great, MFT.
Good luck whoever made it did a beautiful job . I would wear it :-)
MyFavoriteTreasure, this is a beauty!
Love the aurora borealis crystals in these mixed colors :-)
Gorgeous! Even the tiny safety chain screams quality.
kyratango and efesgirl, thanks so much for the wonderful comments! This actually was my mother's (she passed away 5 years ago); she gave it to me years ago, and I forgot all about it. She was such a fashionista; and the fact is, even though she's gone 5 years now, we still have not gone through her things. I have a feeling there will be a treasure trove of costume jewelry!
Thanks for the love - aura, elisabethan, and efesgirl! appreciate it
Juliana? DeLizza & Elster/Juliana did not mark their pieces -- this bracelet has the five-link band with the attaching clamps that look exactly like Juliana; were there other makers that used this same style?
nutsabotas6, thanks! I'm curious, though - I don't know anything about costume jewelry; I feel confident it's not Sherman, but what would be the indicators on Juliana?
The clasp might hold a clue. It looks like a shaft of wheat?
Celiene, I'll have to check it when I get home; the reverse pic I took doesn't show the clasp very well; nutsabotas6, thanks, I will try to find one to help me!
Hi - I'm talking about the top of the clasp. It could be common design, but to me it looks like maybe it was specific to a particular brand, maybe! I can just see it in the third pic here.
Hey Celiene, there are "arrow-like" indentions on the backside of the bracelet; I think on the clasp, it's similar, but like a double row of it.
From the back it definitely is not a sherman. Possibly Weiss or Juliana.
Weiss? I haven't checked but will; I agree that it's definitely not Sherman; I've seen some Juliana pieces that have exact backsides -- but it's the internet, right? And how often are there untruths there, LOL. I will research Weiss also -- the hunt for the truth continues.
Thanks for loving, bladerunner, racer & valentino -- appreciate it!
Sean, thank you, appreciate it!
Of course Manikin was the first to answer this one! And I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking Schneider or Sherman but they'd both be signed I would think. Phil would know!
Shareurpassion, I'm still too new to know everyone's "real" names; what is Phil's username? Perhaps I could try to get his attention. I have been scouring the internet trying to educate myself, but I'm such a novice that I'm not sure I'd know even if it smacked me in the face. And thanks for loving! Also, thank you AnnaB and Rick55 - much appreciated!
otiamaria, thank you-appreciate it!
mikelv85 - thanks, appreciate it!
Radegunder, thank you!
Still trying to identify this bracelet -- in looking at the CW Juliana(s) posted, the reverse of the bracelets are same as mine; everything I've seen so far on the internet is pointing to Juliana -- hoping the CW Juliana/costume jewelry peeps will have a look! Thanks, have a good day and weekend, MFT.
Driving myself batty on this one -- visited multiple sites trying to educate myself on Juliana and have found 1) it has the 5-link backing, 2) has the "etched arrow" design on the clasp and on the connector bands, 3) has the 4-prong set up, 4) some Juliana does have all "closed backs" on stones. It does not have any of the "rivets" or any "open back" on the stones, nor does it have what some call the "puddling", but that could simply be due to the design of this bracelet. Anyone out there have any suggestions? I have looked at some of the Regency styles, but most Regency is signed and doesn't have the 5-link backing. HELP!!
MFT, I took a second look at this thread now, coming from your question on the other thread asking re Julianna. Besides the fine safety chain, in my inexpert opinion, I lean more toward it being Julianna than not for two reasons, the bands used and the clasp. Although they typically used four rib bands, the what I call sideway lines between is there, and the arrow clasp appears to be a match to their clasps. There is a site that authenticates D&E, but they've never responded to my requests, though it can't hurt to ask. :)
Katherine, thank you for responding! I share your opinion about the bands and the clasp (with the arrow etching) also; I saw some sites that had "verified" Juliana items, but I didn't see a place where you could submit a request. Do you have the link? I'd certainly try to get my bracelet verified, so I can put this one to rest. (Since I have joined CW, I have become driven to understand and know everything there is to know about what I have; it's such an obsession I wonder if it's healthy LOL.) Thanks again for taking the time to offer your thoughts!
Huh. Well this is the D&E site that used to offer to authenticate, didn't find the same home page as before, so could be they don't do it anymore:

Fantastic link, Katherine!
Thanks, Katherine! I don't think they offer authentication anymore, seems there are two books they would rather you purchase and research on your own. I am no expert by any means, but the more I have looked (and believe me, I have just about overdosed on my research) -- I have strong feelings that my bracelet is Juliana. If anyone disagrees, I would welcome any suggestions, thoughts, indicators, etc.!
Sean, thanks!
Thanks MFT, and kyratango, aren't those sets luscious? Love Julianna! :)
Katherine, Luscious is the perfect word! I could stare at this stuff all day, the beauty of them blows my mind. For such beauty to exist as "costume jewelry", to me, is art in itself! Thanks again for taking the time on this one, I do appreciate it!
Moonstone, many thanks!
Love the Bling!
Colors are fantastic!!!
AmatoorPikr, thank you so much! These photos do not do the bracelet justice, I may have to try to get better pics; but I agree, the pale green with the topaz really makes a fine combination!
Oldfashionedgirl, thank you very much for the love!
Manikin, thank you very much for the love!
Radegunder, thanks for the love!
