Stuart Crystal Stratford Jugs

Here are four Stuart Crystal Stratford pattern jugs. Designed in 1921 by Lugwig Kny.

These are good quality things and I think they are were made for quite a long time. I expect from 1921 until sometime after the war. I see this as a sign of good design. Especially as there seem to be lots of lower quality imitators of the jugs and glasses.

It is one of those where something looks simple and you pick it up and think this is a good thing and was probably quite expensive. The looky-likeys, you pick those up and go; Oh cheap. Luckily a lot of sellers can't tell the difference either so the uranium green one cost £3. the blue one cost £12 with 6 matching tumblers, the green one £10 with 6 matching tumblers and the clear one £2. They are becoming less common buy them when you see them. Check underneath for the polished pontil mark.

Now all I need is an amber one.
