    This bowl came from an estate sale. I would like some info on the age, maker and pattern. I looked on the internet for this particular shape ( i believe it was made to look like an apple) but found nothing.

      TallCakes, thank you for your prompt reply and solving the mystery-as usual! I would never find it on my own. Based on this info, i found that the dish is called a "nappy" (would've never guessed!).

      you're very welcome : ) a handled nappy (one of those enigmatic glass forms) is probably appropriate; tho' the manner of crimping makes it serviceable as a sauce 'nappy' as well (i.e. gravy boat)...
