Hello!
This is an old tired rolling chair covered in what they used to call naugahyde.
I guess this to be about a 1950's era chair. I have 4 of then I bought at auction for about $2.00 each.
I revived this one, & if I counted up all the hours I spent I would probably get sick! Anyway, it turned out pretty good. At least no one else has one like it I think I would be safe to say!!
The process was long since I was learning as I went along. I have re-done lots of chairs, but it seems each one I do is so different than the one before.
The wood on the frame I decided to sand & I painted it black & then antiqued a bit for a distressed effect. I was the one distressed in the end, but I must love the process I will admit.
Anyone else out there besides me buys every old chair you can find & brings them home? Or....do you stop & brake for chairs & old stuff put out on the curb????
