old 8.8 lb beige clay decorated round pottery. 31 inches round at widest - 5 inch opening top-5 inch flat base-no maker mark that I see-
appears fired from inside and has finger marks running verticle throughout inner wall decoration per pics
found at garage sale and seems authentic to me but what do I know...scoured internet but haven't nailed it down yet Do you know what this is?

A reputable American Indian pottery expert said it was not American Indian...most likely Mexican. Hence, I contacted a reputable Mexican pottery expert who said, "yep, it's Mexican and quite old." So, now the question is "how old" and anything else I can find out. Ideas on who to contact next...?
C'mon people...please!!! 7 billion minds on this planet and I still can't find out what this is. Needless to say IT'S MAKIN' ME CRAZY...not really, just very curious to find out if it's a dud or a find. You've been there, right?
